Description

The 140L cylinder in the FM-200 fire suppression system contains FM-200 fire extinguishing agent pressurized with dry nitrogen to 42 bar at 21°C (600 PSIG at 70°F). The cylinders are installed with a top valve, pressure gauge, and optional integrated gauge with monitoring contacts. The top valve includes a safety pressure relief valve.

Operation

The FM-200 cylinder is activated for discharge using a gas/manual activation valve when pressure is activated from the discharge cylinder or solenoid valve (only used with a single cylinder). The activation components are as follows: gas/manual activation valve: SFS-NV140, activation panel STV-P1L, solenoid valve SFS-SOL.

Installation

The cylinder should be installed vertically with the top valve facing upwards. The cylinders connect together to a manifold through a flexible discharge hose DN50 with a check valve (Model: SFSFC50) or through a threaded connection with appropriate pressure ratings. The cylinder is secured using two cylinder straps (Model: SFS-CC-140), which must be anchored to a wall or structure. If pressure monitoring is required, an optional gauge with monitoring contacts (Model: SFS-PG42S) can replace the standard pressure gauge.
