System Components
1. Complete System
Includes a gas discharge pressure switch, solenoid valve, and discharge cylinder. It is used in the SNS IG-100 and SFS FM-200 systems and is pre-assembled at the factory.
2. Solenoid Valve
The solenoid valve is used to activate the discharge cylinder.
It is a component of the activation panel and is controlled through an electrical signal from the fire alarm control panel (provided separately) when a fire is detected.
The solenoid valve includes a manual activation lever for emergency use in case of electrical failure.
3. Discharge Cylinder
The discharge cylinder is a component of the activation panel, containing nitrogen gas compressed at 95 bar.
The pressure from the discharge cylinder is used to activate the nitrogen cylinder (IG-100), the FM-200 pressure activation valve, or the zone selection valve.
The discharge cylinder includes a valve that is activated for gas release by the solenoid valve.
It is equipped with a safety pressure relief valve to protect the discharge cylinder and valve from damage due to excessive pressure.
4. Gas Discharge Pressure Switch
The pressure switch is used to activate the gas discharge alarm to the fire alarm system.
It is connected to the zone selection valve or discharge line using copper or pressure-resistant flexible tubing.
When the fire extinguishing gas is discharged to the zone selection valve or discharge line, it will simultaneously activate the pressure switch.
