LG Display Hai Phong is a high-tech manufacturing plant specializing in the production and processing of OLED display panels for mobile devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets. With a total registered investment capital of USD 1.5 billion, this marks LG Display’s first overseas investment in display technology manufacturing and is the second-largest project by LG Group (South Korea) in the Trang Due Industrial Park, following LG Electronics' USD 1.5 billion project invested in 2013.
This is also the first billion-dollar project in Vietnam in 2016 and the seventh project to be invested in Trang Due that year, playing a major role in helping Hai Phong become the leading city in Vietnam for attracting foreign direct investment.
